CCTV
CCTV has recently enjoyed a flourish of publicity as the new technological marvel which quietly sits in town centres and shopping arcades, watching for anti-social, dangerous or criminal activity. Of course, when such events do happen, CCTV is there to record them and alert those people monitoring the situation that action needs to be taken, but it is important to remember that the mere presence of a high quality CCTV system is a great deterrent to those who might otherwise engage in mischief. The constant rise in technological ability and fall in prices means that Access Control Automation can offer CCTV installations to everyone who would feel safer with electronic eyes looking out for them. Our CCTV systems are linked to remote monitoring stations using a technology called DVST, or Digital Video Storage & Transmission, utilizing telephone or ISDN lines to transmit digitally compressed pictures from the cameras. This advanced medium can deliver one fully updated, full screen camera image per second as well as two way audio and telemetry camera control.
